NB Whisper

All my life I had wanted to visit Moscow, and finally I was able to do so! After a few years without holidays and some very tight budgeting I had what I wanted – enough money to book my flights with almost limitless spending money! Russia is not an expensive place to visit but I didn’t want to have to hold back on anything I wanted to do. There were some great tourist attractions in and around Moscow and I didn’t want to have to decide not to do any of them on the grounds of finance.

I looked online for Moscow travel agencies and I managed not only to find somewhere to stay, but also a great deal to do when I got there too. The first thing I booked was a flight in a MIG-29 fighter jet! This was an absolute boyhood dream for me and something I had always wanted to do. I couldn’t believe that there were places where I could arrive, and on that very same day enjoy the experience of a lifetime!

The main attraction of the week for me though, would surely be the visit to star city. This place is legendary to me. It is the purpose built space training town, built for all of the people who were working in the space aviation industry back in the 60’s and 70’s. It is still fully operational today and there are loads of different things you can do there. If you just want to take a walk about the place you can, but if you are a bit more brave, you can experience weightlessness, and you can also fly into orbital space, with the use of a simulator. I knew that this would turn out to be the trip of a lifetime
