The Book Watch – A. Lange & Sohne
In 2005 fine German watch maker A. Lange & Sohne made a wrist watch with a “special prize” – a book. But this was just not any book; the book title was “Das Buch Zur Uhr”. This translates from the German to English “The Book of Your Watch” – with the subtitle “The History of Your Watch”. The specially bound volume contained information and photos on its manufacture and guarantee’s and service conditions. It is not often that you get such an informative little volume with your luxury watch. One of these will be available for sale at the Antiquorum auction. But be prepared to bring about $ 16K with you – if not then buy an A. Lange & Sohne replica watch.
A really close and good match appears to be the H-R “A. Lange & Sohne Datograph Replica Watch”. Except for the black dial color (original is dark blue), the rest of the pieces of this one match the masterpiece. Indeed, this example is a masterpiece itself. This one might even be better, in that it also offers the fly back option! Date window, two sub-dials and arrow hands are accurately reproduced. Brand name and “Datograph” are also accurate. The watch is a precision instrument with accurate meter markings (to 1000 meters) on the inner dial above the Roman numeral markers.
Some may not consider the H-R “A. Lange & Sohne Casino Las Vegas Replica Watch” a serious watch. One just has to look at the dial and the precision of the duplicated built-in miniature roulette wheel to dispel that disbelief. Hour markers are in a classic slanted arrow Vegas Casino style. It should also be mentioned that this also contains a miniature tourbillon in skeletal cut-out fashion. No book accompanies either of these great A. Lange & Sohne replica watches.
Holland Car Hire Tips
• Drive on the right
• Minimum driving age in Holland is 18 years
• Always carry your driving license. If you do not have a photocard driving license, remember to carry your passport as further proof of identification.
• Give way to traffic from the right – even on small side roads unless otherwise marked
• Seat belts must be worn by both front and rear passengers
• Children must use the appropriate car seats/restraints at all times
• Children under 3 must travel in the rear but children from 3 to 12 years may travel in the front as long as they have an appropriate child seat.
• Using (or even handling) a mobile phone whilst driving is prohibited. However, hands-free sets are permitted
• Do not drink and drive – the blood alcohol limit is very low
• Speed cameras and speed traps are commonplace and offenders can find themselves facing substantial penalties or on-the-spot fines.
• Speed limits are strictly enforced beside road-works
• Overhead illuminated lane indicators are widely used, particularly during rush hours. Do not be tempted to ignore these.
• A red inverted triangle at the approach to a roundabout means traffic on the roundabout has right of way. Otherwise traffic joining the roundabout has priority.
• Although there is a comprehensive cycle path network, when cyclists do meet or join traffic they have right of way
• Watch out for trams – particularly if you are driving

How to save money when you hire a car
Normally when you hire a car the vehicle will come with a full tank of fuel. Under the hire agreement in most cases you will find that you have to return the car with a full tank or the car hire company will re-fuel the vehicle, but will usually make an administrative charge for doing this.
This of course is understandable as it is going to take time taking the car to a petrol filling station, even if it is only a hundred metres away from their car hire depot.
If the car has been returned full it can be efficiently checked over, cleaned and be ready for the next customer and with shortages of car hire vehicles in July and August 2009 in many parts of Europe this has been most important.
There are a few car hire companies that actually encourage a renter to return the car empty, so they can automatically charge the customer an administration fee.
So always check the situation out when you are signing up the car hire documentation at the check in desk and then you can save money.
When you do fill up with petrol or diesel, remember to keep the receipt so you can show it to the car hire return check in staff if asked. There have been cases whereby renters have added water to make the tank full, or bought diesel instead of unleaded petrol. The majority of rental vehicles have stickers on the outside of the fuel cap area and inside the area as well.
Another way to save money when renting a hire car is to buy your car hire excess insurance from a specialist insurance provider. Their daily policies are normally a lot cheaper than those provided as an additional cost onto the car rental by the car hire company. The reason is fairly straightforward they add a higher profit margin on. The website www.insurance4carrental.com acts as an introducer advertising service for a couple of providers and you can buy daily car hire excess policies or an even better idea is the annual policy.
